As a general question about steroids use, will my body collapse after I abandon it? I was looking at that Arnold's picture on the beach and was shocked at how his body has deteriorated and just deflated. Does that normally happen once someone who is taking gear decides to leave it?

- For example, say I took a couple of steroid cycles just to aid my fitness training (not for competition or anything) and then decide to quit the gym life but continue eating healthy and staying active, would I quickly atrophy and lose all my gains?

In the long term, do people who lift without gear tend to maintain their gains longer?

At the risk of sounding harsh I'll say this.......You have no business using AAS if you have to ask a question like this!! You have no goals for this other than helping out your training????? Stop looking for the easy way out and get on with it! If you do this naturally you will absolutely retain your gains, unless you stop training altogether! If you stop lifting you will lose what you gained, natural or enhanced! Why would you discontinue the very thing that got you in the best shape of your life????? Weight training is a life long proposition, you either do it and stick with it or go play volleyball and forget the gym.
 
What a question

Arnold is almost 60 years old! He has done enough for the sport to be allowed to get fat and happy.

Another good one: Are the muscles going to transform in fat once I stop taking roids? or : My fat is going to change to muscles if I start a cycle?:confused: :eek:
 
I think i have seen the picture you are talking about and to me it looks like someone put arnolds head on a diffrent body. I don't think that is even him

lol, dude, muscle doesn't turn into fat, and fat doesn't turn into muscle, i totally agree with Oldfella, IMO you should hang around and read as much info as you can about training and nutrtion.
 
whenever you get off your cycle you don't loose the muscle, you just loose the fullness from the water retention and of course the increased recovery and pump during workouts and so on... As long as you keep up with your protein intake and keep eating right you should keep decent muscle size. You have to continue some sort of work out regiment to maintain muscle size and definition.

completely agree. I kept a lot of what i gained by keeping the calories high and being smart about diet and training (particularly not overtraining since it's easy to just go nuts in the gym when you're on and keep growing)

Once gains have solidified a bit i cut down some of the fat you inevitably gain from eating like a clydesdale while on cycle
