is this bad?

do you think these are inferior sources of protein as compared to chicken, beef, and fresh fish....?

Is there a reason for why you can't cook.

I mean I'm a single guy myself...but I can cook even if it's limited! :D

its not that i don't know how... its just that i'm not able at this point.

Well, I feel that you just have to make do with what you can. Not sure about the powde your using, but tuna and egg whites sound good. What about other things such as milk, peanut butter, etc? Are they available to you?

I can't cook because it seems like work and I don't like work. I eat out, and if I don't its cottage cheese, or protein powder.

bump on the milk and peanut butter. also, lately i've been getting roast beef from the deli and putting it on Earth Grains Wheat Berrry bread. the bread alone has like 30g of carbs per slice and 6g protein. other than that go buy a BBQ grill and some charcoal! :D

actually walmart carries it. its like $2.50 a loaf or somethin but in my opinion it's worth it when you start dealing with that other crap with all the enriched flour and everything they put in it. i prefer the taste a lot better also.

cooking alternatives

its not that i don't know how... its just that i'm not able at this point.

You can buy canned Chicken breast..its 98% lean or so comes in 5oz can, 6oz cans and 12 oz cans...you buy canned turkey as well... just wash off the salt etc... you can buy frozen chicken breast and just heat it up on the George Forman if you can...
I have also seen precooked brown rice at the Health food store that is vacum sealed and that can be eaten micowaved... you can also buy ready made Oats in a small carton that you just add water and eat or microwave...You can also buy quick oats and just add water and eat.. I have done than at times when I can't microwave...sometimes I purchase sweet potatoes that are sealed in a plastic film and I just microwave for 8 minutes and it is good..

These are just a few alternatives to spending time "cooking" if you don't have the time.

good luck!
