Hi there,

I am new to this forum.

I am 23 years old and I have been training for 3 years.

When I started I weighted 66kg and now I am 86 kg and 188cm.

I train 3xweek according to this training routine:

DAY 1
Chest, biceps, front shoulders


DAY 2
Legs, calves,

DAY 3
Back, triceps


I have good progress however I would like my calves to be bigger :)

Hope to get to know a lot of new things on this forum.

Well, it all depends on what you feel comfortable with and what you are willing to do. I train legs twice a week. Some may tell you that that is overworking them, but I have watched my legs grow like weeds in summer. My wife compliments me all the time on my legs now because I used to have twigs. Again, it is what you are willing to do. You can try different Calve lifts and lifting heavier and changing sets OR you can lift them more frequently.

It's up to you.

As far as lifting three times a week, this is not a bad routine because you are giving your body a lot of rest which is a major part of growing. I don't see anything wrong with what you are doing. I would say that once you have reached a point were you are not seeing gains, then switch it up a little.

Welcome.

I have runners (high) calves and I've tried MANY different protocols w/getting them bigger w/no luck.

Its frustrating because the rest of my body seems to get bit with ease. I'm at a point where Im holding back my upper body potential to keep as much symmetry as I can.

I've only been on this board for a few months but the people here are very respectful and knowledgable.

Just dont ask for sources on the boards and do lots of reading and research. There is LOTS of great info in the board history. =)
