I have been really looking at my diet since i am off right now. I was taking in way too much carbs per day. I started to not eat so much carbs, and i am starting to see my abbs more but am wondering how often to work out abbs for a nice six pack. also how bad is diet soda? I am sort of addicted to it. I will stop drinking it if it is that bad.

People seem to be divided on the issue of artificial sweeteners. Some believe they are unsafe and should be avoided, others think they are wonderful for calorie- or carb-restricted diets. If you feel OK and are in good health, I don't see a problem with using them. Hope this helps. As for ab work, it is usually an individual thing. I work abs twice a week; high-rep sets of crunches, hanging leg raises, etc. They are like any other muscle, they need time to recover if they are to grow, so just figure out what is best for you in terms of frequency/rest. The main thing to actually see them is diet, as you have already figured out for yourself by reducing carbs. So if you are not already doing moderate-intensity cardio, that might be a good idea to help you lean out and help the abs come through a bit more.
