Oldfella and Dad…
You two are amazing. I come to this forum and I want to help and give a little back to the board that has given so much to me but I stay away because it is so frustrating and it takes patience and understanding to contribute in this forum. It also can be a little crazy sometimes because so many young guys are quick to put themselves at extreme risk.
You are good men. I look up to you both. Every time I pop in to read some threads I see you two busting your ass to help. Oldfella is under no obligation to even give the slightest dam but has input in nearly every thread. You are not the only two…but in terms of consistency you are both unmatched. You are respectful and patient at times most of us would be flaming like napalm bombs.
To all the beginners…if you ask a question and get a response from either of these men…give them a thank you.

Kris, thank you. You already know my stance on this topic. I do not want to see young guys get hurt from ignorance and naievity. Many think that this is some sort of game that we all play. I can assure them all it is no game. The consequences are real and everlasting. The risks both legal and health wise are also everlasting. Too many younger guys are just diving in head first and did not bother to check the depth of the water, only to find themselves with a broken neck (proverbially speaking). If I can at least make them realize that this is not something else we just DO for kicks. It is not an easy route to building muscle, it is no magic fix that will turn them into supermen. That's all I can hope to achieve. Dad is a Good man. He also cares and has his hands full everyday dealing with stupidity and rule breakers. if I can help Then I will do so. The mods of this board are outstanding people and Big A has chosen them for a reason, trust and integrity. But it would not hurt for some of us to ease their burden once in a while. Just remember......We all started somewhere!!!!!!

My advantage, if indeed I have one (I'm not always so sure), is simply that I've been around long enough to make more mistakes than most.

The hope is that I've learned something from these mistakes and that others will to able to learn from my mistakes as well!

I say been there, done that and that is where I speak from. Same as Dad. Been around longer than most. The real trick is to gain knowledge from mistakes already made.....................and still learning!!

I have corresponded with oldfella several times, he has ALWAYS been willing to answer any questions in an honest manner. He has my utmost respect and I consider him a friend as well. It`s people like him and Dad that make this a great sport. Thank you both.
