I'm currently at about 170, 9-10% BF. I wasted almost a year doing mostly machines 3x a week, then did about 8 months of bulking from 150 to where I am now. I was on a full body routine, mostly compounds, and switched to a 2 day split, 2x a week. I was feeling too fatigued by the end of my full body workouts. It was chest/shoulders/arms, back/legs/abs. I focused on power, and then hypertrophy on the next cycle.

I'm wanting to change my routine, as I feel my shoulders and legs are being held back due to their timing in my workout.

I want to gain lean mass with a focus on both hypertrophy and strength, not neglecting one or the other.

So, should I lean towards splitting things up more, or go back to a full body, compound based routine?

Thanks all.

If, you put on 20lbs. in 8 months and are still at 10% bodyfat, who knows more than you. You are doing something right.

changing up your routine is a great idea and keeping your bodyfat low. I advise this and I totally respect your.. "just say no" attitude.
