Alcohol On Test Cycle Opinions?

Ok, so I had planned to start my 10 week Test cycle this coming Monday but being the responsible person I am, I am analyzing the 10 weeks. In the 10 weeks I have plans to vacation/parties 5 weekends. I am not a regular drinker, but when I start, I get trashed. I also know from reading up that alcohol hinders gains and can increase estrogen levels.

Being that the summer is near and parties are everywhere, do you guys recommend I hold off the cycle until the fall? In the meantime I can keep bulking up with supplements and solid food and not have to worry about ruining this cycle.

BTW, I am 6'0" and 200lbs with a few years of solid training.
 
Be smart, Bro. Skip the alcohol! Unless you just can't find it in yourself to do that. Then I would postpone the cycle. Drinking isn't cool anymore, Bro. Didn't you get the email... :rolleyes:
 
I'll bet if you quit drinking as much as you are now, you'll find that you dont need anabolics to grow and reach your goals.

I drink at most once a month with friends. I hardly go drink anymore. I even gave away some of my unopened liquor bottles LOL. I'm just going to be on vacation with friends and to say that I will be able to just nonchalantly not drink and have no one notice or ask why, well that would be just a fantasy LOL. 10 weeks = 70 days. Of those 70 days, I will drink probably 5 days. I am a perfectionist by nature but I don't want to keep postponing the cycle. In the words of Jack Nicholson, it may be As Good As It Gets. If I wait too long like until winter, then I will explain why I still have a tan (tanning to minimize breakouts on back) LOL.
 
Well, it may be only 5 days of actual drinking, but yuo'll need another two at least, especially if yuo get "trashed," to normalize water balance and liver function. So make that 5 days more like 15.

So now yuo're talking about 20% or more of yuor 70 day cycle time that's totally wasted. Then there's the disrupted sleep, impaired liver functions in dealing with nutrients (especially ingested fats, and this assumes yuo're eating well while getting "trashed" - unlikely), etc etc, all of which will impede recovery all on their own.

I think Ness makes an excellent point - why not forget cycles and just train and eat? At 6" and only 200, I'd be willing to bet yuo could still do a LOT more without drugs.

Oh, and by the way, tanning has no effect on whether yuor back breaks out - that's totally a drug thing (excess estrogen, doses too hihg, cycles to long, wrong compunds, and on and on...). Tanning stimulates melanocytes to produce melanin, and a bit of vitamin D production on the skin, period

I'm thinking you guys are right. I don't want to waste money and time on the cycle if I am going to be partying this summer. Also, I don't want my use to affect how much I drink. When I drink, which is rare (once a month at most now unlike college haha), I like to take it to the limits - especially with liquors. Instead I will invest in more food and supplements.

All my friends want to get big, inject, pop pills. I wont even give them a hint of where my source is because....I see irresponsibility. Id say if you even had to wager this, dont bother with any of it. I remember Halloween I was pushing away tequila shots from the tequila man, and beer from duff man...

I have delayed it until August because I am responsible. I know most people will be impatient and want to get mass ASAP. But I am looking at it from a long-term perspective and I know waiting 2 months can be a lot more beneficial in 2-3 years from now when my liver is still intact.

In the end, all great things take time.

I'd put off the cycle and enjoy the summer drinking and being young and stupid.
You can put on mass into your 50's, but you're young only once--and it's coming to a close.
 
if you dont have a show on the way, and ur just doing it for urself i say shit...enjoy ur summer.

on another note fellas...im on HRT and i actually asked the doctor about alcohol(i manage a resturant and unfortunately i cant get away from tastings when we get new product in or are looking at picking up a new line of product) my doctor said that as long as my blood tests all come back normal it shouldnt be a problem. you must realize though if I order 12 new wines that we dont carry and i have to taste all 12 with the sales rep before making the order im still only consuming about 4 oz. of wine. if its liquer i do it like a pro, swish and spit, kinda like mouth wash. unfortunately for the full effect on flavor with beer and wine you have to swallow(that may be the worst thing i ever typed)
