HCG for PCT? Thoughts

I have read on here that some use HCG after the last inject as a PCT (clomid alternative). I thought it was not supposed to be used after a discontinued cycle because it can inhibit recovery? Just curious of thoughts on this subject.

Some people use it during cycle to keep the boys in check. Some use it towards the end of a cycle to get the boys ready for working again. But yes, don't use it while on PCT cause it may and probably will inhibit recovery.

Swales protocal is a good read, and will give you some more insight to the different ways to use HCG. You are coorect as not to use it after your last inject though.

I just found it interesting that if you read some of the threads on HCG there are some that use it for PCT which makes no sense unless they are cruising.

There are many different opinions on when to use. From my research i believe stimulation of the leydig cells from an outside source is good during cycle. But during PCT you want the body to do its own stimulating.....if that makes any sense. I would not recommend using after the last injection. Just my opinion once again.

What threads? Let me know because that is not correct information and not what HCG is used for in men. It can be used after a cycle but only to keep testosterone levels up while testicles return to normal size. It's good for that purpose because it has a short have life and when your testicles are normal size, you can then try some type of AI or SERM (preferred) to boost your levels of LH and FSH, perhaps with something like tamoxifen. What you are really waiting for is for your hypothalamus to begin producing it's own gonadotropins like GnRH again. That takes time. There is much debate as to whether PCT is really needed at all. It certainly is not needed from a health perspective but from a muscle perspective, it likely decreases the effects of testosterone withdrawal. Make no mistake though, your body will return to pre-cycle size given enough time. That's why so many men just stay on until they are fully done with AAS for muscle development and performance purposes.
