Has anyone tried taking propecia (finasteride) to prevent hair loss while taking gear/ PHs ?

Just wondering if you noticed it helped prevent hair loss or not.

I am running a sus500 cycle and wanting to be safe than sorry.

Any feedback is appreciated

Used to use it when gearing. Worked well to slow, not stop, shedding.

Do you think its a good idea to bump the dosages of finasteride or is there a point where more doesn't do much more for you?

The suggested dosages is 1mg daily..and ive read on some forums that .5mg does just as well.

A higher dose is more effective at preventing conversion to DHT. That is why proscar is 5mg and used by people with prostate cancer. From what I've read you will not get any substantial reduction in DHT by going over 5mg.

The 1mg dose is adequate to prevent normal male pattern baldness. I would simply take 1mg at first and if you notice a lot of shedding while on then you can up the dosage. I have taken it for about 10 years now on and off cycle and 1mg has worked just fine for me. My only regret is that I should have started taking it sooner.
