Anyone ever take time off for a few weeks just because? I'm just feeling really beat up and tired right now!!!! I don't really want to eat or train or anything!!! I was thinking about just taking a week or two off from training and dieting and everything. Just feeling kinda burnt out on everything. I've seriously missed maybe two workouts this entire year of training! So I feel i've made some progress. Do you guys take time off occasionally from everything just to fullly recover from the heavy lifting? Plus that will still leave me a full three months to get nice and tight for summer. Thanks guys. -StOrY
 
Just got over a bout of the flu........2 weeks off whether I wanted to or not. I may be fatigued but some aches and pains on my joints seem to have disappeared. LOL.

Yes... I take a week or 2 off several times a year.. Great for nagging injuries, sticking points in training, and to get the fire lit back under the ass.. Trust me.. After several days of doing nothing you will get very ancy.. And you will look forward to hitting the iron again.. When i take time off.. I still keep my meal count up and eat pretty clean..

Knock hard on that wood....as you saw in the thread.....it is EVERYWHERE! i hope it passes you by. i have been testing it....but I only got through half a chest workout in 40 minutes and packed it in.
 
LISTEN TO YOUR BODY! if you feel you need some time off here and there then take it! You can only go balls to the wall for so long, you will either have to A. back down the intensity for a while
B. take some time off from the gym all together.

brother Brad preaches the gospel here:) . You need to take a break if this is how you are feeling. No apitite, not wanting to train, fatigued, probably a bit moody as well. All signs of overtraining for sure.
 
deffs do it. I did it recently and it feels good. I didn't loose too much, my test levels were good tho. Lost maybe 5-10lbs and gained them right away when i got back
 
Thanks guys! Well, I've been out for about two or three workouts so far. I really do feel a little better! I usually have these little pains here and there that have seemed to disappear completely!!! Also, when I do some homework my back usually aches a lot the first hour im sitting.......I dont have any back pain whatsoever!!! Freakin awesome!lol BUT.....I am starting to get ancy already, and am thinking I'll probably be getting back on track today or tomorrow maybe! I feel more rested too. -StOrY
 
Man, just got back from the ole' gym! I had a really good workout! I'm actually a little stronger on most exercises than before the break!!! :) I've been completely off of my diet for a few days also. I wonder if that has anything to do with it? i.e. all the sugars and fats and everything. -StOrY
