Day after injection- how should it feel?

Hey guys,

So I took my first 1mL, 21gauge, injection in my thigh. As mentioned previously I am an ICU nurse so I'm sure I did it correctly (doesn't mean I can't make mistakes though). The injection went in smooth as butter.

The next day, there is no lump, but it just feels like someone gave me a charlie horse there. No fever. On a pain scale of 0-10 (10 being excrutiating) I'd give it a 4. A dull pain. Not complaining, was just wondering if this is normal?

It only hurts if I stretch my quad or push on the site to check for a lump.

Sounds normal to me. You might even almost collapse a few times while walking, but I see that as normal too.

sounds better than when I did my first, had test flu, and mine was done by a doctor lol

in future use a 23g. no need to use a large gauge like that. 23 will be fine. Less damage to the muscle. but yes test usually leaves a painful site.

I wasn't sure if 23 would be too small. I used a 19 to draw it up and it was great so I was worried a 23 might be too small. Will do next time!

Depending on what compound is being injected you could even go to a 25 or 26 gauge pin.

It can depend on the gear you use do a great degree. All of my human grade equals zero pain. I couldn't even tell where I injected. My non-human grade always left a "reminder" of where the depot was.

Yea, sounds normal. Id use a 22 or 23 though. Should be less painful

I dont think docs and nurses pay attention when pinning IM. They tend to wack it in, and it causes bruising up. Think most BB and aas users have more experience pinning than docs and nurses. Also, you know your own body better, so next time tell you doc, where to pin
