Probably the dumbest pin question ever.

I did search but didn't find this addressed specifically. Is there any reason that you can't just get one sized needle - say a 25x1" and use it for quads but also use it for delts (just don't go all the way in)? Also, could you use it for a subq hcg injection? Again, not going all the way in? I would rather just buy one single box of pins.

those needles sink all the way in very easily. I pinned for the first time a few days ago with a 1.5" 25 ga BD syringe in my glute. I thought that I would just stick it in an inch but as soon as it penetrated the skin it slid in all the way very quickly. Trying to keep a needle from sliding all the way in is tough when reaching around and pinning the glute but maybe it would be easier to stop if pinning the quad. Needles are cheap, just get a few off each size online. Just my .02 cents

Yes you can. BTW to get the needle to go in easier let a little oil drip down the pin. I regulary use 1.5 for everything.

Now for the Sub-Q HCG, yes you can use your pin but my goodness the 29g pins are so small you can't even feel them. No residual pain whatsoever. They are so cheap.
