building or maintaing with protien no carb

was wondering if some of you guys might think its possible with enough protein and how much to build muscle while on no carb diet, or do you think you only maintain what you have , would yall aim for 1 g per pound of bodyweight or 1.5 g per pound or possibly need more, shorter workouts on the no carb days during the week and intense workout on carb up on the weekends
 
You will probably get mixed answers on this. But unless you eat some carbs you are short changing your self in the growth dept. Carbs are a very important part of any building program for mass. Why do you think the pros eat so many carbs in the offseason?
 
Works like a champ for cutting, IF you set up the diet correctly and have a carb refeed once a week or so. I'm actually doing this now.

FOr bulking? Never tried it personally and wouldn't. Personally, I'm not 100%on my game without at lease measured carbs around workouts.

i would think your going to need some carbs, just be careful of your carb sources.....veggies have a good amount of really healthy carbs.

I think its silly going on no carbs, after a workout your body NEEDS CARBS to replenish glycogen stores, not to mention parts of ure brain and spinal cord run primarily on carbs...yes your body will adapt to it but in my opinion theres more negatives than positives.
 
i always cut no carbs. i bulked very low carb and stayed lean and put on quite a bit of muscle.. i have never done a dirty or high carb bulk so i have no idea if im short changing my growth. ignorance is bliss :) i would really rather stay lean and build and since i am about the opposite of a hard gainer.. this is what works for ME
