Be Carefull What you Drink

Today I went shopping at the store and bought some diet sodas..

One caught me eye.. It was Diet Orange Crush . Right on the front it said caffeine free. I was like cool, i can drink these all night long and sleep tonight..

I drank down two.. They were awesome. Then i read the label. It said. 25 calories, 6 carbs and 5 grams of sugar..
Im pissed.. This is not a diet drink...

Has anyone ever bought diet soda that had sugar in it?

I advocate diet soda( sugar free) as something that can be part of your plan even when dieting hard. I was drinking many every day during some of my best preps.. But.. Just be carefull, it seems like they are getting tricky with the term... Diet.

O' yeah, welcome to america...Caffeine free coffee is another good example...Suopposely, they can get away with making statements like that as long as the amount meets the criteiria of the regulators...in other words, it can have a certain amount, yet still ne considered "free"...Just like they say we are "free" in this country...

That sucks, I guess it pays to read the labels before buying. Just like lean meat is how many grams of fat?

I have never seen a drink that said diet like that, but wasn't sugar free. I always assumed that diet drinks were calorie free. I was trying to warn you guys

I guess you cant blame the company for trying to pull a fast one

The worse culprit is Jiffy peanut butter. They actually took the bottom of the jar and concave it in to give you less. You would never notice because the jar is the same size.

I have noticed that with a few diet soda's here that are store brand. I personally stick to my pepsi '0' and a few other of the ones that have '0' in the name. THey seem to be 0 calorie and all.

I just tried this one and is pretty good from time to time when I want something other than water, since I drink water all day. I dont like soda much, but this one is ok.

I'm glad to hear its ok to have it while training.

I recently purchased the best tasking drink ever.. Stewarts Diet, orange cream soda in the bottle. only 5 calories.
