Pinning Question

Hi Folks,

I've been taking my shots regularly for the past six weeks with no issues at all. However, today I put the pin into my quad and released the 'medicine' when I drew the needle out blood shot out like a mini geiser. It slowed quickly. It was unusual, I don't think I hit a vein, I aspirated etc... I guess my question is; Despite looking like blood, do you think the majority of spray was 'medicine'? Should I re-shoot? Thanks for the help.

no dont reshoot its just a gusher they happen sometimes its no big deal you still got your gear

You have passed through a small vein in your quad near the surface. YOur meds are in there and no need to redo the shot. It happens from time to time. As long as you aspirate and no blood when you do it is ok.

You can pierce through a vein and not get any blood when you aspirate, so its not a sure way to know. When this happens you go in one side of the vein and straight through the other side, going all the way through the vein rather than lying in it. When you pull out the needle the blood is then allowed to pass out the opening.
