Ive been trying to get my BF% down a bit so ive been doing 30minutes cardio after i workout (mon,wed,fri) then i do 30-45minutes on tues,thurs and sometime sat..

i keep HR between 65-75%

what you guys think?

And ive dropped my carb intake a bit and upped protein

and as far as cardio on workout days after i get done with the cardio i still take my 100g of waxy miaze 10g glutamine and 50g protein
 
I do cardio after I work out everytime. The most I have leaned out is when I did it first thing in the morning and trained in the evening, but that can be a little tough.

For me, cardio is 10% at best, and diet is 90% when it comes to leaning out. I do it for health reasons primarily.

About the "Pre-Workout", "Post Workout" nutrients. I don't worry about it anymore. I finish lifting about 6:00, and finish cardio and head home by 7:00. By 8:00 I'm eating dinner.

A very wise man (PHil Her_on) once said something close to " If your body is starving for nutrients right after you work out, imagine how much its starving for them a few hours later". Makes a lot of sense. I do rehydrate after lifting and after cardio but I save the nutrients for later.
 
As far as cardio goes, i do it 3-4 times per week in the morning. I have a treadmill get up and walk for 30 minutes at somewhere around 3.0mph. Not very strenous but keeps me in halfway decent cardiovascular shape AND helps keep the bodyfat fairly low.
 
How many cals are you taking in every day?
How tall are you, weight, and BF %(guess)?
basically, cardio is just going to help you burn more calories than you take in.

240 6`2 14-15% BF 21 yrs old

diet is this

meal 1 = 2 eggs + egg whites or protein shake if in hurry
- around 100g carbs from either oatmeal, ezekial cereal, or bagels.

meal 2 = truemass or just 50g whey depends on where i am

meal 3 = turkey sandwhich + prtoein shake + pickel + some whoel grain chips

meal 4 = protein shake + EVOO

meal 5 = dinner (meat + healthy carbs + salad or raw veggie)+ protein shake if i didnt get atleast 50g from meat)

meal 6 = protein shake + 10g glutamine


thats roughly my diet and i go through about 1-2 gallons of whole milk a week.
 
oh ya and forgot to add i sometimes add egg whites to my protein shakes so i get whey + egg protein
 
There are 10 studies each way when it comes to that, so research it,and make your own mind up. Just remember take each one with a grain of salt.
 
well i just dont see how being in a state of catabolism even longer could be beneficial?
 
Youre carb intake is way 2 high brotha...you want some fatloss? Try this...

Only ONE carb meal a day...and that should only be PRE-workout (No more than 60 grams).
Get yourself some ECA and pop it immediately upon wakening.
Do morning cardio 3x a week and immediately after have a
high protein high fat meal...
Always do 15 min cardio post-workout..
Never have a carb source post workout as that spikes insulin and
you stop ALL fatloss by doing that.

Try this exactly to the tee for 1 month...if you haven't leaned out a good
15lbs something is wrong.

Once you're lean, you can then increase your carbs to your liking.

Well on the weekend, you may carb-load as you wish. And trust me, after morning cardio and ECA you shouldnt feel drained. You may feel beat for the first week, but into week 2, your body will already start learning to use your fat and protein as energy. Dont skimp out on fat though, or else the body will utilize the protein for energy and not so much muscle building
