delt injection

this is kinda wierd i have done delt injections plenty of times before with no problem. i did one today just a little bit ago in my left delt everything seemed normal just like always but after finishing i it feels numb almost like it is asleep. what could of caused this? thanks for your help

What gauge and length of needle do you normally use for delts? I am gonna start this as well. Thanks for any info.

since i have been using suspension and it has a tendancy to clog i have been using 23g inch long needles

My guess is there is some swelling on a nerve in there. Probably just a small cutaneous nerve. It should go away once the swelling goes down. Can you feel some tightness in there, some swelling?

i got into a car accident and fucked up my hip. after pt i startd injecting into it and had the same thing

sounds like you either hit a nerve or injected close enough to a nerve where the oils is putting pressure. it will pass

thanks for clearing that up guys. thats probably what it is there is kind of a knot there so that must just be pressing up against a nerve.

I would never go less than 1 inch. 1 inch is great for all over IMO.

I used a 25g 1" for delts years ago when they were rather lacking (ok....way lacking). No issues.

If you can't reach your deltoid muscle, how the hell do you feed yourself?

Reach over and flick the spoon hoping some will reach your mouth? Although, that would be pretty damn funny to see!

LOL well it was kind of a half joke. But i do never pin delts. Im a fan of quad shots myself. The only reason being its easily accessible, and im a fan of supporting the muscle with one hand, while pinning with the other.. and i cant exactly support the delt with one hand, while pinning with the other.. ive tried hahaha. quads + glutes for me

That is what i do. With a quick jerk of the head, i usually get most of it in my mouth though

has happened to me in past because I injected too fast, probably too much pressure was pushing on nerves when you inject too fast, I think delts is my favorite spots to inject..

you cant reach delts but you can pin your glute, or do you go for ventro glute(hip).
