I have been training this client of mine and he has been injecting himself with out me knowing. He has no a considerable amount of acen on his chest and back. What is a way for him to clear this up?

The two options I know are anti-biotics, doxycycline is pretty good for acne and the second and more effective option is accutane. I've seen accutane in this site and it works well with acne. Start at 20 mgs. per day. See how it works, if more needed, you can go up to 40 mgs. I'm not sure if accutane is liver toxic so you might want to check that out if he has liver issues. Accutane through a dermatologist will cost in the thousands.

Accutane is the best. I used it through the dermatologist for 6 months and had to get blood work done every 2 months due to its toxic effects on the liver. It was only $50 a month though. Its not in the thousands by any stretch. suggest accutane, it worked wonders

I guess the derm I went to a while ago was trying to rip me off. I did accutane thru a derm. overseas for much cheaper last year, and I agree it did wonders for me also. Better than anti biotics.

Did you pay for it straight out or did you have insurance? I can see where it would cost a hell of a lot more (possibly thousands as you said) if you didn't have insurance.

Yeah, I didn't have insurance. That's probably why it was less expensive for the other guy.

Before throwing more drugs at the issue, I would like you to suggest a couple of weeks of showering twice daily, changing and washing linens frequently, using a fragrance free detergent, and making sure his diet is in check. There are some people who are very acne prone, but many are not and can clear up from basic things like those I have mentioned.

this is pretty good advice...maybe add some otc creams, benzoil peroxide is good. i think there is a sponsor here who sells some type of acne product. platinum labs, their banner is at the bottom.

accutane is really only needed for cystic acne.

accutane will "heal" your skin for several years this is its real benefit...Alex

Yeah. From what I've learned, AAS overstimulate sebaceous glands underneath the skin which causes the sebum to clog pores and acne develops. I have to agree that first you should try the non-drug route. If not, Accutane reduces the size of the sebaceous glands so they don't produce that much sebum. You are actually going to the root of the problem instead of superficially trying to clear it up. Unfortunately most cases when you don't have an acne problem and you take AAS and you suddenly develop acne, you should treat the cause and not the symptoms IMO.

Easy. Tell yuor client to stop injecting himself.
