I generally keep my rep range within 6-10, however if im cutting and am after more definition should I do higher reps, maybe within 12-15 range? And should I increase my sets as well, from 4 to maybe 6?
I realise everyone is different and reacts differently to various training methods, I was just after a "general" principle with regards to higher reps and cutting.

Thanks

Food for thought - no pun intended

If your calorie intake is what it should be, staying in the gym longer, doing more sets would cause you to lose muscle.

My original mentor said that people make the workingout part of precontest more difficult than it is. He said if your diet is on and you're getting ripped, just get in the gym and workout (just don't overtrain). You get answers like Bigheinz - workout once a week via HIT - to someone else saying lift as heavy as you can - to lighter weights and more reps. Each of these have seemed to work well for different individuals :)

keep the sets the same just do more reps like 12-18 reps nad squeeze and concentrate do these movements a little slower then you normally would.

remember this at that point we are not trying to build muscle we are more so trying to detail it.

Thank you both for your replies-i will mix up my number of reps a little and see what happens. I've never really cut before so it's still a learning process!
