Which Personal Training Certification is best?

What is the best company to use as far as getting certified in personal training. I know ISSA is good from what people say. What others are there? Which one is the most widley excepted? When certified, do I need any type of special licensure to start training people in their homes?

I would say the vary in so many ways. Your best bet is to look and see what you want to do with your certification. Once you know that then you now know wich certification your employer is requiring of you.

Definately agree with Boomshaker.
I have several and I found NASM to be the most beneficial.

CSCS is the only one I know of that requires a college degree, and stands alone. This is the one all the college and pro football strength coaches have.

I used to teach the A.C.E. course, and looked at A.C.S.M., and many others - they're all equivalent.

I do know that on military bases, they always (at least they used to) look for ACE certs
