STUPID IDEA to spend cash we don't have...

FDR did this (and increased taxes.. which are coming when Bush's tax cuts expire), and it made the Depression last ALOT longer than it would have.

i just was wondering cause i want to get some supplements and get my diet in line with my workouts and the money i heard is about 2700.00 that would be enough for some nice supps but then again we have to pay it back uugghh

If we dont get a stimulus check because we are a minority ill be bitchin for sure...if it only goes to the poor or those that really need it more than thats okay but if they the people are living at the same standard of living and one doesnt get it over another because of color..thats bullshit IMO

Been listening to the radio today and sounds like the stimulus is gunna put our country in EVEN MORE DEBT!

Of course it is MORE DEBT. The US got the last "stimulus cash" .....BY BORRROWING FROM CHINA!!!!! Which we then have to pay back w/ interest and what are we doing w/ that cash, buying CHINESE products!!! LOL.

Just take the hit now, have mass layoffs, and build back up. But I guess history doesn't tell us much, b/c we're doing the same thing we did in the 30's again.

There will not be checks sent out like Bush did instead Obama will lower your federal withholding taxes so you get more per payday than before.

Bush didn't destroy our economy, every president since Kennedy did. We have completely ignored the need for an energy policy, shy'd away from Social Security Reform (except when Clinton put it "on-Budget" and then claimed to have a surpluss - lol), and we have stringently refused to come up with a logical approach to health care.

Reagans team managed to completely shread banking regulation, which is probably the origin of our current crisis...

See what I'm saying man? It's not a Rep/Dem thing. These people all suck. They are career politicians, driven by poles, who absolutely refuse to be leaders and put the interests of the republic ahead of their own.
