ideas for weightlifting/BBing classes/seminars?

Hi,

I am a trainer at a small franchise gym (where most members use the cardio stuff and machines, and very few use free weights). They have no group classes. My strong area is weightlifting/bodybuilding, so I suggested to the owners that I do some classes/seminars in that. They went NUTS over the idea! We would just get small groups and charge like $15 a pop. Keep it informal, fun, etc

So my question is…any ideas/suggestions?

I was thinking:

1. Have different “beginner” and “intermediate” classes. Some of the members that have expressed interested are quite older (70) and have never touched a free-weight in their life, whereas others are younger and more experienced with weightlifting. That way I can have different approaches.

2. Maybe do different muscle groups each week, like (a) chest and triceps (b) legs, etc. That will also keep them coming back. But is that enough for an hour?

3. Teach the exercises, but of course also proper form, proper spotting, tricks and tips …what else? If

4. If enough interest, maybe a general “bodybuilding 101” one, with mandatory poses, what is involved in competing, etc.

Thanks for any suggestions.
