What do you do for a living??

Some of you may remember this post from another "Non source" forum but since I haven't posted it here I figured it wouldn't hurt. I am going on 10 months of being out of work on worker's comp due to back injury/surgery and Im about to starve. Seriously, I am probably going to be changing careers as soon as I am released to go back to work. I am ready to make some money! This $500/week WC check is BS! Its been a while since Ive been in the job market so whats hot right now to make some cash. I know this is not the best time to be looking but I am starting to prepare. I am open to going back to college and getting a certain type of degree if that makes a difference.

So post up what you do, whether you like it or not, and if you recommend it to others. I have dabbled in so much stuff Im open to anything "Legal" that has the ability to make some money. Thanks guys!! Great asset to have this type of subforum here!!

X2 ... its not just education its a skill as well ..If u can take certificates like A+ and MCSE u can land ur self a decent job ... most companies after hiring train their employees accordinly so you will always be on the edge ...
if worst come like ur out of job or something well you can always open up ur small shop , sale and repair computers ... you be surpirse how much money you can make out of it ...

I work in retail as the manager of a small business. As somebody who has always worked in some sort of a sales position, I will tell you that there is money to be made there if you're not afraid to take charge and work for it. I worked for a car dealership for a while - selling cars is stressful but the money can make it worthwhile if you're halfway decent at talking to people.

If your on workers comp a great idea might be a sales position where you can work from home. As long as you have a great work ethic you can make alot of $$ from home. I do great. i have had a bussiness for the past few months and from the first month we have been in the green much to my surprise.

What type of sales job are you talking about? I'm pretty good talking to people. I have a little sales experience but its been years since I did it! Thanks for the reply!!
