PC users who switched to Mac, input pls

Hey everyone,

just wondering how many switched from PC to Mac and what your thoughts were positive and negative...buying a notebook soon, prolly just before Christmas and seriously thinking of switching to Mac

I am writing from my new macbook pro, I re-switched to mac after 3 years on pc and for me it has been a nightmare, I tried everything, building my own pc too, nothing to do... there was always something wrong... and then antivirus, antispyware, firewalls.... aaaaahhhh.

Now I only complain on the connection speed but its not mac's fault (i am on a mobile connection right now), moreover if I want a pc (everybody can go crazy) I just install a windows os on the macbook with full performance, or use parallel desktop loosing just a little power.

I have no doubt about it: mac is the right choice, now more than before.

I made the switch too into a MacBook Pro 17in, its fantastic. You will never go back to a PC again unless you are a hardcore gamer. The Mac is a phenomenal machine....

Hi Guys, thanks for the replies...Baldnazi, I only like games like Madden or NHL by EA...is there a huge difference?
Or maybe I should just buy an Xbox to play on? Not like I have a lot of time for it anyway...but it's still my head in my ass entertainment if I am a bit stressed and just wanna do something mindless to unwind.
And Bigmax is the slow internet your isp or the mac?

i have never used mac . I run alot of Microsoft Access applications and some SQL server . I have a small office . do u think i could benefit from mac ? and if so why ?

MAC's RULE!!

I've worked on both PC and Mac platforms and I prefer a Mac. I just got work to upgrade my G4 to iMac and it's awesome. I also have iBook at home... sweet!

You can get MicroSoft programs for the Mac. They work just like the MS PC programs. I have MS Office and both of them. Also if you have other PC programs you want to run MS makes some software called Virtual PC for Mac. It lets you run any PC programs on the Mac and it works and looks just like a PC.

The Mac I use at work is hooked up to the server, and I can access it and store file on the server. I can also access files that other co-workers use and they can access my files. As long as they have the program to open the file. It's no problem.

I like Mac. Just got a Powerbook G4 and it works awesome.
I like the PC for certain games, but ever since the Vista came out my XP has been having problems, its like they programed it to stop working.
