Video format + IPOD Nano?

Hello... Im keen to know what video formats are supported by the IPOD NANO.. I got a 4 GB one and cant wait to view some vids on it . In the store they had a movie clip and it was awesome but I could never seem to drag and drop any valid vid format onto Itunes.. If anyone can be of help it be greatly appreciated! Must all vid clips be bough from Itunes. Do I need to convert avi, mpeg to a certain file format. I try to convert some o fmy music vids files and it just will never work with Itunes..

Is it newer?

If it's the newer nano, it supports mpeg-4. The older ones only supported avi's.

If you really want to do it right and stress free, try these 3 products. They work very well together.

DVDFAB- will strip the store bought dvd clean and encryp free.

CloneDVD(by slyfox)- converts it so it can be stored in your pc.

Anapod(by redchairsoftware) it's like itunes for ipod but 100 times better. And it's window based. You can delete itunes off of your pc and just use anapod for music, videos or whatever. AND anapod will allow you to hook up 1,2, or 3 different ipods to it for the price of one! Itunes is a 1 to 1 thing.

P.S. I have NOT downloaded any free ware ever off the internet. I believe if someone ever goes through the trouble of making a good product that you should help support their time and costs for making it. So please buy all three. They are pretty cheap too.

There is freeware available on the web called: Videora Ipod Conversion. I just used it this morning to convert FLV videos to iPod format (I have the newest 8GB Nano). Worked like a charm. Just google it.

Thanks alot guys..

One more thing.. I had to re install alot of software on my pc due to a virus... This also includes re installing ITUNES... When I do sync my IPOD with the new ITUNE software, since there arent any tracks loaded up on the UTINES library, will it simply sync and delete all the tunes from the IPOD...

I guess I will need to simply re add all my tracks to the ITUNES which is such a chore. lol
