Photoshop CS2

Any one know how to use this darn thing. Been playn with it for days tryn to build some banners and what not. Not having the success yet that I hoped for lol

It's amazing what you can do with photoshop.. but it's really not very friendly to the new user.. basic stuff you may be able to thumb through.. I recommend just doing a google search for photoshop tutorials.. often times you can find video demo instructions that will at least give the feel of how the program is driven.. once you understand what you want to accomplish and the terminolgy, you'll be well on your way..

we have the whole adobe suite here at work. i thought for sure the programs included tutorials.

you may be better off getting Photoshop Elements. It's a cheaper more condensed version of the full Photoshop product, ive found it easier to use for novice's here at the office as opposed to the full blown photoshop. Most people don't understand the layer aspect anyway so add that to the 1000's of options in photoshop and a person is easily lost.

What exactly are you trying to do, make a banner? Like one for a bboard? One of the sponsor banners? Are you not able to get the proper size? Having trouble with layers? I mean you are kind of like asking someone to fix your car without any information as to what is wrong.

I think Adobe Illustrator would
be a better the tool if you are
building a banner. Photoshop is
geared toward digital photo
manipulation, while Illustrator
is more a create from scratch
tool.

Agreed, plus Illustrator works in vectors not pixels like Photoshop. The end result will be nice and clean at any large banner size

Purchase a book they have alot of them, library might as well...

I run cs3, and just made my first banner, for me the hardest part was figuring out the html.
