Can someone link me to some good HDMI cables for my PS3 to hook up the my sharp aqueos tv? ...and I have one on there currently and i guess its a piece of shit because it says its in 480pHD when i turn it on??? and my tv is a 1080

Thanks
RONJON

Try going through ps3 setup first. There is a screen that will allow you to change video settings and you can either specify manually or have it auto detect - I put mine on auto and had no problem detecting. Pretty much any brand will do.

Just make sure that the cable is 1.3a category. If you have an older cable, couple of years old, then it won't be able to display all the way to 1080p. But, I think most should go to 1080i? I think you haven't set it up yet on your ps3.

I am tying to run the Ps3 set up but need some details on the process lol
...or a damn Ps3 for dummies book lol

My ps3 is going from input 4 on the back of my sharp aqeous tv and when i click the tv imput to 4 it says 480p in the corner of my tv so maybe its the tv which I also dont know how the hell to change to 1080??

I'm at work right now, but I can give you some info as I remember it.

The tv picks up the signal automatically from the source.

On your PS3, go to settings,, I think video format or playback - towards the bottom as you scroll down. It should show you HDMI input and after selecting it, you go through the setup. You can setup to auto detect and it will show you all the modes if supports by highlighting the available modes (you should see all from 480 to 1080). If it only highlights 480, try selecting 1080 and press accept to see if it will take it. If not, I would replace the cable.
