Web Designers Making Money?

Has anyone ever took a online college course for web design?

Would this course provide me with enough knowledge to do free lance web design?

I have a little experience with photoshop CS3 and have dream weaver mx though I dont know how to use it really(dreamweaver). And also I have http weazel that rips whole sites and I experimented with it and changed a few things on some sites I downloaded.

I heard web design was fairly easy to learn, just wondering what some of you html guys think, and how to market yourself. I figured direct would be the best, word of mouth and maybe craigslist?

I taught myself. I use the whole adobe library: dreamweaver, photoshop, fireworks, illustrator, etc to create my websites.

Sure, anyone learn to put together a website...but you need to have some graphic design talent and a background in art to really do well.

If youre going to go back to school, dont pay to learn how to run computer software, as anyone can do that...pay to learn some artistic skills....things that are hard to teach yourself.
