There are way too many market choices out there to just recommend a specific one. Apple laptops are trendy, stylish, and generally secure but tend to be more expensive. Dell/Gateway/major PC brands are all more or less the same, decent and cheap but often made with unreliable components with a higher failure rate.

Do you need to use your laptop for gaming? If not, look for an entry level model with Windows XP or Mac OS. Give me a price range and I'll recommend a setup.

Check out best buy. A lot of people will reccommend dell BUT i like going in and buying the laptop and leaving with it in hand. For the majority of your needs a basic HP will do you good and they have come in nice sizes that even have full keyboards. If you are looking for a price point brand, acer is usually very good.

You can also save some money by going with a laptop that has an AMD processor instead of an intel.

if you need more info hit me up with what you want to use it for etc and i will find you a suggestion model.

As for PCs this depends on if you are buying business class or home class. Business class is more reliable than 99% of the laptops out there. Its all a matter of A, B, or C class tolerance components. Business class is always A class, which of course holds a price difference. Dell outlet allows you to purchase a business class node at the same or less price of a home class node.

ill be lookin into all of these ...thank you guys!

I've had many different laptops,. 2 Toshibas that passed the test. HP's always need repairs. Apples are awesome, great for arts, expensive, can't utilize particular softwares. Had a few problems with Dells. I abuse and beat up everything I own so I'm always looking for the product thats gonna outlast the rest, I vote for Toshiba. Memorial Day is coming up and there will huge be sales going on everywhere, check out Best Buy, Comp USA
