I got some invites too..I never use the website..it's basically a private public torrent website..very slow on most stuff.

the trackers slow you down, when you download, remove the trackers prior to starting and it should be fine.....but trackers help your rep to show you are not just a leecher but a seeder too. Piratebay goes down too often and use demonoid as my back-up.

dude, I understand what you are saying, but why should I pay 5 bucks for a video rental only to find the movie sucks?! (and the DVD is only $20 or so)
because of downloading, I find myself buying more videos than before because i can try before I buy (or rent). money saved means I can buy all the good ones.

Demonoid.com is a source for torrent files.

There are many sources other than Demonoid.com for getting torrent files.... ThePirateBay.org is one of the biggest but there are many others.

If you don't know what a torrent file is then do a google for details. Basically it's a way to download almost anything that is out there on the net.

EXAMPLE: What some people do (not that i would do anything illegal) is that as soon as a movie comes out on PPV or is released on DVD then someone puts it up for download as a torrent file.
In a nutshell - If you want to see a movie and it just got released on DVD then you can download it.... if you're too cheap to go rent the DVD.

Another example - The Merlin series playing on TV (NBC) on Sunday nights - I've already downloaded all 13 episodes and burned them to DVDs.

Another example - I want a certain Windows application i.e. McAfee antivirus - it's out their for download. Windows XP cracked is out there. MAC apps are out there. Allmost anything is out there for download.

Last example - Most of the Porn in the world is also out there. But not on Demonoid - they don't have porn available - go to TPB for that or empornium.com or others.

Disclaimer/Lawyer-ese: downloading and using/viewing stuff without paying for it is against the law and many copyright violations.
