IPOD NANO + Vids

Ok I may have discussed this already.. Anyone uses the video feature in their IPOD Nano? I have a 4 GB version ( 3rd Generation - Bought in 2007) and sometimes it seems impossible to drag and drop a vid into Itunes even if some of them are AVI or MP4 format... It be nice to use that feature... I was able to play a vid but I got no audio..

How about playing youtube clips that u downloaded into Real Player. Can those be formatted and played in IPOD?

Any thoughts and ideas be greatly appreciated!!!

Are there rebates on these models if you want to get a newer model? Just curious. This one works perfectly fine though. No glitches I can complain about.

Sounds like you are having a problem with codecs. Google a codec viewer, download and run it, after scanning of course. It will show you what codec for audio is being used for the particular AVI. Once you see which one it is, google known ipod nano codecs to see if it is included or if you can install it. This happens quite often on computers as they do not have codecs natively like AC3 or DTS.
