O/T Internet Explorer 8 Blows ass

My IE updated itself and asked me if I wanted to install the new IE8 so I did.
It runs slow, seems like there are too many bells and whistles and like the ie7 much better.
my computer skills faded out of my head and now thinking of deleting this and trying to find a download online for ie7.
Anyone else dislike or like this new ie8? fnd it runs slow?

I agree. Internet explorer sucks balls. I have a mac and a pc and on both I use firefox. IMO, it's a better web browser. Seems faster to load up and I don't get as many pop ups.

Definitely Firefox, been using that for years.. I also have a plugin for it called 'NoScript' that adds even more protection.. You have to allow sites to use Java/Flash, which is usually how pop-ups and and other kind of malicious shit operates.. It's not a pain in the ass, you just grant the permission once when you go to a site for the 1st time.. But you can really see what some of these shady, or even regular sites are trying to do - there will sometimes be 10-15 separate Apps trying to operate for a single site, and that's when the bullshit happens.. There's tons of google and other kinds of Apps that I don't allow, and it drastically cuts down on the advertisements I have to look at..

I switched to Firefox years ago and so glad I did. Never even use IE any more. Slow, ugly, pathetic.

I had split my time between IE7 and FireFox, but after installing IE8...

I've started using Firefox all the time.

Ok, I just found a possible fix for IE8 slowness. It really help mine out. I re-registered both the urlmon.dll and actxprxy.dll.

Yea I used to hate on macs, then i made the switch after running through several PCs in a few years. They were stacked with viruses and spyware. I have had a mac ever since. They are the best.

Especially for lifting, nothing gets you bigger than using a macintosh........jk of course

That fix seemed to work. why wouldn't microsoft come out and fix this problem? thanks. lets see if it continues to run smooth.

Couldn't you just go to systems tools and go to restore to back it up when you had IE7?

I didn't like IE8 either. Went back to IE7.

I cant even open the fix. My comp is super slow now with this IE8.

It doesn't take long to learn OSX or leopard.
