Kindle and Nook Questions/Comparison - 2 questions

I accept/believe that they are a toss up when it comes to displaying book pages for reading. Personal preference decides. (6 inch screen models)

1) Which would be a better choice for surfing the web on my home wi-fi from my family room? Either? This is very important to me.

2) Is there a significant selection or price difference between B&N and Amazon? A dollar or two (or 3) per book isn't a real deal breaker. I don't read hundreds of books per year. Maybe a couple per month. If there are dirty parts.

That's a big difference in price points. Exaggerated even more with internet capability. Right?

I played with the iPad this afternoon very cool toy but way way too expensive.

9 inch Kindle is $500, iPad is $599, I dont think that is much of a price difference for a color screen and also having 200 times the abilities of a Kindle. Its not even close in my book.

I was looking at the 259 version and really asking if its reasonable to search the web on it. But Kaiser, you reminded me of a good point - B&W web browsing may not be so great of an experience. But your AVATAR would still have me summoning my wife over to service me.
