I will definitely try this starting today. My calves look pretty embarrassing right now even though I been doing weighted calf raises.
 
Please keep us updated. I will be doing this at some point but at the moment my current program going very well and don't want to add anything currently even though my calves suck

Thanks bro, good stuff! Certainly worth a try. My calves can get thick but have high calves so need them to be longer if possible. Will try this out and see what happens. Thanks

Have made a noticeable difference switching from heavy weight for reps of 15 to relatively lighter weight for 30. Very interesting article, will have to try

i'll try anything at this point... i always thought girls had big calves from wearing high heels but i refuse to do that!

I'm having a helluva time finding a pair of black pumps in a men's size 13.
 
it sure probably wouldn't hurt for a lot of guys. Just try it and see what happens!
 
I'm gonna give it a shot. I've been training calves twice a week with high reps and have hit a plateau.
This is also something else I can do at home..will cut down on gym time.

Started with 50 reps today..work my way up to 100 by the end of the week.

Currently running Test C- 500, Mast E - 400 and Var -75.

46 years old
6'1" 225
Measured at 10.4 % BF about a month ago.
 
100 reps with strict and slow form gave me the most painfull pumps. Its definately a mental game one your get into the 70reps+
 
Good article. Makes sense to me. Listen to this! Back in the day my best friend played basketball practically every day in a league. He bought this pair of training shoes that was supposed to help ur vertical jump. They had a raised front portion on a platform. The rear of the shoe was off the ground a good two to three inches. And u were supposed to wear them and jump vertically next to a wall reaching up as high as u could on the wall. The shoes looked stupid as hell but one day I did the routine and holy crap were my calves sore for days. I think the whole thing about being on ur toes can def lead to calf muscle growth. I kinda wish I could find those shoes now.
 
2nd day of this. 60 reps...it's not as easy as you might think. Calves definitely pumped afterwards..we'll see what they look like after a month.
