If you're under 40 this thread is probably irrelevant and won't resonate with you, but for anyone who had competed, juiced or just trained with suicidal intensity in the past. If you had ok potential, a lot of strength and drive even while off, but could possibly blow up and do some interesting things if you "upped the dose" or started slamming down a gram or two a day of various goodies. Would you?  Not interested in the it will shorten your life/ yeah it could but you lose the worst years. At 52, every year pretty much sucks worse than the one before. 2000 was the peak. Looking at having some fun before the whole shitty thing goes South. Some will get this, some won't, I fully realize.

I think I am actually happier now on TRT. I can relate to what your thinking and I had that mentality, but after injuries piling up , it just forced me to a new way of thinking. At 36, I was competing in powerlifting, but could have done well in bodybuilding at least in my opinion. At 5'7, I weighed 233-237 at 10% bf and benched over 500 raw. I lived to lift heavy and I never really went crazy on the supps.. I never did HGH or insulin, just the basics. I was actually planning on heading into bodybuilding, but then it started. First i tear my labrum and rotator cuff, then nerve impingement in my neck, next a nasty groin tear and now finally a complete tricep rupture. I thought I would have a hard time in my 40's, but at almost 42 I have maintained most of my size. Probably lost 15 lbs muscle, but I feel better overall. I used to be almost obcessed with meal timing , training etc. Now I eat when I am hungry, take a couple shakes throughout the day and try to enjoy life. Besides , to the average person I am huge.lol and the little gangsta punks at the mall still get out of my way. Good luck to you and do what makes you happy!!

i understand where you're coming from--if you were intense/determined when you were young chances are that you will carry that intensity/determination to your senior years?

from my own experience i can say that the only things that slowed me down in senior years and as another poster eluded to-were injuries and i would add-or stress?

at age 62 i was in the best shape of my life and worked out daily including daily cardio. i did it that way bcuz i could-it felt good and the results were dramatic.

at 65 my body began breaking down from the intensity of my workouts and a higher than average pain threshold-all of which resulted in injuries and other abnormal ailments.

but you know you just modify your workout routines-to work around the injuries and try to minimize the stress in your life which often means just letting things go instead of suiting-up and going out to do battle over every percieved wrong in the world-and you soldier-on.

from my experience i can say that working out in Senior years is very fulfilling/gratifying as your focus is not fractured by a 9 to 5 job or raising a family?

Honestly I would rather use minimal gear and more GH and insulin, proly not sounding like much better of an alternative but just my .02.

Well, the questions isn't really "Is it a good idea?" It's, "Will this make me happy?" If yes, truly yes, then go for it. No one else has to agree.

But...you're 52, have a good physique, probably some financial stability. Great. All the tools necessary to do what-the-hell ever. Is this the best thing you can think of, for you?

Having a nothing to lose mind-set isn't bad, but there is more than one use for it if you have no fear of consequences. Just think it through. All doors are open, game on! If that's the case, you can do ANYTHING you want. All out BB'ing is one option. But the world is big and I'm sure there's a lot of other things you haven't done. So do them. Or get huge and do them. Travel, have a 3 way (or a 6 way) on every continent. Go to South Africa and learn to surf. There's lots of shit to do and not enough time. Don't wish it away, Bro.

I don't mean to side step the gear question. Sure, if it makes you happy and it's your dream, do it. But it seems there's something eating you and you need a change. Just consider that there are more changes available than upping the dose.

Absolutely! there is no reason you can't do this, just got to be wise about it with gh by all means and maybe some slin, no more then you have too with the gear...that's what i'm about to do and i'm 51...

I'm 43 and I can relate, I'm in the best shape of my life and get way more attention from women now than I ever have in my life. But you know what, the older you get the better you're gonna be compared to everyone else in your age group. I decided last year that I was gonna forget about the huge weights, and take care of my joints for the long-haul. You know what, I'm in better shape now than I ever was. Taking huge amounts of gear is only gonna mess you up and you aren't gonna gain a thing from it. So you might carry an extra 10lbs of muscle, but honestly, who's gonna care?

I agree with what most said. At 46 I find that I am looking better than most my age. At my peak I was 305 and strong as hell. Now I am 280 and still strong but joint trouble, family and work take priority. In a few years when I have more time I want to do what you are talking about. If it makes you happy than go for it.

Im 51 and yes each year gets more difficult I just dont have the energy or drive like I used to even though im on HRT peptides and or synthetic GH I to competed in powerlifting in my early 20s I have been lifting since I was 13 and jucing since 19 there is no way that I would subject my body now to the dosages I used when I was younger at our age everything should be in moderation. I feel that attempting to emulate what we did in the past would be a dangerous game to be playing at our age.

Ok I am comIng up 51. Never competed work life and kids always got in the way of serious gym. But now I have a bit more time and decide to get into the best shape I can. I avoid very heavy weights but work on time under tension. I am on test tren and have been for 6 months and just added premo going for 12 weeks.
Just go for whatver you want to do before it's gone. Next milestone is 60. That's what did it for me. Still I would not go down the 2 gramms a day route just enough is good enough for me. About a gramm a week. Cheers and all the best

48 years old, and 2 grams a week is working just fine and dandy, thank you. No plans to change for the next 25 years or so.

I just turned 53. Been training for over 40 years. Have not done a cycle in a few years. Mainly because of blood test results. High triglycerides and cholesterol. Getting this under control has been my focus. Took my triglycerides from 700+ to 250 without meds, Changed my diet and cut back on alcohol. Also got my cholesterol under control. My strength had maintained pretty well benching 450 raw at 210. But in the last 2 months my strength has hit the pits. I would be lucky to do 400. I lost about 20 lbs in the last few months Im sure that has allot to do with the strength loss. Started gw-501506 and it has helped my endurance. Tried TB-500 helped me with some joint pain. Thinking of getting my test checked to see if Im a TRT candidate.
