I promised a friend I would try to help her figure out why she cant lose the extra fat around her mid section. She is 48 but her legs are very lean and muscular.. She eats good from what she told me and does an hour of cardio a day-5 days a week... She also has had a historectomy.. Her legs look awsome (world class).. I told her its most likely a hormone issue....

Any sugestions or help?

My best guess is that if she's lean from the hips down, she may have a testosterone management issue.
 
Women who use aas get testosterone related belly fat.

Predisposition to diabetes, hormones out of wack, or just genetics can all be a factor for her. She's about my age so she should be getting complete bloodwork anyway, if she hasn't, that would be a great place to start. If it is genetics, diet is the cure.

Can you post her diet?
 
I will get her diet when I see her in the gym this afternoon.. If you saw her legs you would be like holy sh-t.. Thank you for the help.
 
if nothing else that was mentioned, then maybe cutting calories....

if an hour of cardio 5 times a week doesnt do it, then she must change something....diet maybe.

What are her numbers?

protein?
fats?
carbs?
weight, height?

does she take anything that can make her hold alot water?
