Masters Nationals or not?

I posted this in the member photos section.guess i should have put it here.Anyway i was wanting to do Masters nats next year.do you think i can be competitive?im a tall md wt at 176 in the picks could have stayed about 184 but too small for lt heavy.Im also wanting to do north americans.Looking at the pick from the NATS I had myself 5th or 6th judging by the north american i had myself 2nd or 3rd.what do you think?take another yr to grow or go for it?

At your age, how much growing do you plan on doing, especially in 1 year? How would you do this?

I think i depleted and dryed out way too much.one thing i forgot to mention after my long layoff ive only been lifting since.june 2007.those pics were from 1 yr training after a 6 yr layoff from the gym period.i was gone from the stage for 12 yrs.guess i should have added that stat.sorry

Honest assessment:

Skip Masters Nationals next year and set your sights on 2011. Pack on as much muscle on that frame as you can until you are 6 months out(concentrate on back & quads) and then peel off the bodyfat and hit the stage at least an honest 2-3% leaner than you are in the pics you posted.

Take another look at what the top finishers at Master's Nationals look like and set your sights on achieving that kind of conditioning.

thanks for the feedback.you can tell a little more about my conditioning in this pic.My legs definately didnt come in but the upper was good.

and why is that?are you saying hvy wts dont have to be as conditioned?
