The pic you attached seems to be life sized, I can't see it in one frame. He is a good looking dog. I don't know anything about that breed. Are there any famous dogs that would help me out? IE Scooby Doo, Rin tin tin, Lassie, etc..

Beautiful dog. A good friend of mine has 2 of them.

A Boerboel is also know as a South African Mastiff. Not a very common dog outside of S.A.. I think there are only 3 breeders in the US.

My dog is 2 years now, i will make a photo off him this week and will post it here.
Yes its no a common breed outside S.A. and that good i think.
This one i bought in Belgium but the male i had before this one was import from S.A. and was an extrem powerfull dog.
That male was to agressive to Colored people and was not so nice for kids so i had to bring him to a breeder who wanted him for his bitches.
My male dog is 154lbs thats normall for this breed.

Wow that one has a bulky head!! is that one from S.A.?
What i know is that j.d. Johnson is breeding Boerboels like that in the states.
He statred with American-Bulldogs and later one he start breeding extreme heavy Boerboels.
But those are not pure bred the more extreme must have been mixed with other large boned mastiff,s.
But is does look very impressive to have a gaurddog like that.

This dog is a sissy to good and nice for a Boerboel, but as family dog he is perfect goes well with kids and strangers and thats very important.

We had neighbors that had a Boerbel in our apartment complex and he made my A.B. look like a midget! Take a look in the A.B. post for a pic, and keep in mind that the English Bulldog I have weighs 90 pounds, so the A.B. is pretty good size.

I got him from Dixie Luckman. She got her dogs directly from J.D. Big Buck Boomer is my dogs grandpa, and Champ is his uncle. Those dogs both won best of show at J.D.'s annual get together. Champ is the only dog I have been terrified of. He was 147 pounds and built like a gorilla. That's the only comparison I can make...he looked like a pissed off caged gorilla.
