This is my 3 year old German Shepard "Nytro", he has pancreatitis and has to follow a special diet and supplements for life. When he got sick his weight was a healthy 42kg and he went as low as 22kg when at his worst. It took a long time to get him back on track. Here is a pic of him on the road to full health after about 6 months of trement.

BB, glad he is doing better, I recently went through that with my cat. He had to get sugery, so he could digest proper. He is doing fine now.

The vet wanted to put him down. The diet she gave him was just not putting his weight back on. So I started seeing what marcos would work best. I had the best success with wheatabix and raw egg whites with a 1/2 scoop synthepure with his digestive emyzines twice each day and 3 times if I am home. So it was very high carb, only natural fats from foods and a little protein.

Sorry to hear about your cat pesty. Before he got sick people were always asking would I breed him. He comes from a very good blood line. I am just really grateful he turned the Connor.

Well my cat I got from the SPCA, he is nice looking, but more important, my wife pick him out. I hated to see him suffer, but now, he is completely healthy. Sounds like to me, you knew a little more about the diet part then the VET. I am glad he is doing better. Pets do become part of our lives, and you want the best for them.

It's tough when the pets get sick, they seem so healthy and strong at one minute, and helpless when they are ill.

That's great that your dog is ok now, that's a very cool room with the interior window like that, it sort of looks like a zoo.

Just looks like pride and honor with his stature. I love GSD's and I have 2 female GSD's myself. I feed them a raw meat diet with veggies, fruits, yogurt, olive oil, egg yolks and I give them Emeric's DogtorRx twice daily. Their coat is like mink, tons of energy, and they never have a doggy smell.

Great looking dog BB and I glad you got him feeling better.

Pancreatitis is a killer for sure. I lost a 13 year old female chihuahua to it some years ago. She lapsed into a coma after almost beating it. That is great that you have found a good solid diet for him. Certainly is a beautiful shepherd though.
