Skunk killed...family may live beneath!

So I have two lab mixes...one half pit/lab and the other looks like a puppy German Shep/lab...Anyways, my new place is on a raised foundation as opposed to a slab and I think a family of skunks just started living underneath...So far I have a company comming out for a free consultation and possibly to trap em and release them far away...

My older/larger female killed a full size skunk the other night and I double bagged it for 'animal contol' to pick up on the curb the next day 'had to be on public property'....The same female ran out to attack another one this morning as I was on the way to work and she was obviously nailed in the face with some spray cause she ran in her little sun room rubbing her face on the carpet...

Anyways, I've already been to the ER with her from the battle wound she substained durring the kill of the first skunk and I need to get rid any skunks for good...I have a company comming out some time tommorow but the main question is to any with experience...: How the hell do you get rid of the smell when your entire house is engulfed and how to keep the critters from comming back?

I had a dog that would go nuts for a skunk. One time in Kansas he jumped out of the truck window at a stop sign and chaesed down a skunk into a cornfield and killed it.

I was 3 miles back to my house and I drove real real slow and made him follow me the whole way.

No Way he was getting back in he truck with that aweful stench.

Then there was the time he chased a skunk into my tent when I was hiking on the Appalacain Trail. The sleeping bag was ruined!!!

I alwayes kept a few dogs loose in my yard (fenced yard) and that took care of all critters.

You can't get rid of the smell inside the house unless you ant to spend a couple thousand bucks,

moth balls! Toss a few of them under the area that they used to live and they will never come back. Also if you ever think they are going to come back, or have come back... start playing music in the area and tossing a light under there. THey will pack up and move out in no time. They like quiet dark areas to live.
