this is my girlfriend, she has done 1 small show in the past and won it....she wants to do the same show I'm doing in november(the eastern usa's)...I wanted to know what you guys think she should work on...she's gonna start cutting mid-august...she's 5'1.5"...120lbs right now...she started doing partial deadlifts, bent-over rows, and t-bar row per my advice because of her weak back...

I'd say back, shoulders and posing. :)
She's a very pretty girl and she has great legs!

Personally I think she looks great. But obviously I'm not a judge. I'd tell her not to compete. But she looks like if she does the dieting, (which is not my taste) she has the proportion and structure to do very well.
 
Beautiful girl. Just a tad more lat width - maybe some X-pulldowns, pullups with a spot or pullovers...

Posing is probably number one on the list..I think with figure girls (even more than bodybuilding) The posing has to be right on, or she really suffer's overall...She should hire a girl who knows her stuff and teach her how to pose...

As for the body, delt caps (roundness) and back, but again it looks like her back is ok, but its hard to tell becasue of her rear relaxed she isnt holding it right...So I would say back thickness and width...

Legs are really good...

Im no judge.. and i know she is not in contest shape..

but i think she looks amazing just the way she is
 
1. Focus first and foremost on getting lean, this will narrow the waist and create the desired "V" shape.
2. Back width and thickness. This will work in conjunction with the narrowing of the waist.
3. Practice the posing, especially the back facing the front. Roll the shoulders forward holding them at there widest, allow for the shoulders to create the width, not the arms. Practice without the arms, shoulders and lats only, until the movement of flaring the lats with the shoulders is mastered, then just hang the arms from the shoulders.

thanks for all your comments....she's been bulking so hasn't started cutting so it's hard to see some of her cuts...she also hasn't been pose practicing for a year now...
 
She needs shoulder caps and better back.
 
Is she doing fitness, figure, bodybuilding, bikini, what? If you said what, I apologize, I didn't remember reading it though.

She looks very good. I would agree work on the posing and leaning out a little bit, she has a great shape to her figure, I guess bring up mainly the upperbody, just a little here and there.

Leaning out will show what muscle she has and if she ads any in the process.

The posing of the back properly will bring out the back width, right now her scapulae are held too close together in the back pose, opening and flatening the back will display it better and create the illusion or show more width.
