Somewhat off topic, but since we are in the mood
for sharing travel photos, here are some my wife
recently took on a backpacking trip in the Wind
River Range in Wyoming. (She is the only woman
on the trip and is easy to spot.).

The walk took about two weeks with re-supply in
the middle. It was over 150 miles long, traversing
the entire mtn range, was mostly off trail, high
altitude, cross country walking with lots of map
and compass work. (They lost a guy half way
through . . . could not do it.). It was led by a
amazing young man called Andrew Skurka, the
“Adventurer of the Year” by National Geographic
Magazine.

And in case you are wondering why I was not
there, I was in LA working at the time and
probably could not have kept up anyway.

Enjoy the fotos. The show lasts about 15 minutes.

Those are some really clear shots. I can almost smell the fresh air..

Man..I really need to get out of L.A. someday

Beautiful. Looks a lot like glacier park, which was an amazing week of hiking (they have some nice challenging 10-20 milers). I didn't know there were so many 'snow caps' on the tops of the mountains that far south. Pretty cool.

Amazing shots! Some of them were just breathtaking!

Really jealous! I only got out once this year for an aborted backpacking trip (my hiking partner had an attack of sciatica). That trip looks phenominal!

Those were great Alfresco! Just what I needed to see right now. Thanks for sharing.

Alfresco, thank you!

The pics make me wish for summer. I am stuck up here where I live during the school year. I miss hiking.

Your wife is beautiful and healthy looking. Her skin looks great.

The hike you are describing sounds wicked! Those folks must be mountain goats! I am good shape and walk around in the hills a lot, but wow..that's a journey. I like Wyoming.

Tell her good job!

Mother Nature and all her slendor! Great pix!
