Birthday Bash

This past Sunday the 15th of November was my loving Mother's 85th Birthday. A few months ago one of my sisters (I have 6) contacted all of us siblings with plans for a surprise birthday party for my mother. My brother and sisters came from all over the country to attend. My dear sister did all the work, securing a clubhouse just north of St Augustine Florida in Valano Beach. She also put together a video of pictures arranged chronologically beginning with recent photos all the way to photos of my mother when she was a child. (I hid in the back I got a little teary eyed)
Until arriving at the clubhouse my mother had no idea that any of this was going to happen, it was a wonderful surprise to say the least. It was nice to see my brother and 6 sisters again and in recent years it has not been that often that we are all together in one place. My mother still gets along very well, she still drives and takes care of herself. She has been around for and witnessed many things in life, to include Nazi occupation and World War II. I hope she will celebrate many more.

On a side note I can't say enough about the character and type of human being, daughter, and sister my sister Janine is for arranging the party and executing it. Tons of love and respect to you sis.

Happy Birthday Mother I Love you very much, without you giving me life and nourishment none of my life would be possible.

Thanks for all the kind comments. My Mother though very petite has some great genetics as she still drives and is as sharp as tack.

There is a substantial age difference between myself and most of my sisters and brother. We had quite different upbringings and they have always looked at me as an enigma. Now that I look at the pictures I can understand why..lol. Marilyn has helped me through the years at getting better with interacting with them. They are usually harmless but in their lifetime they haven't had any interaction with people like Marilyn and I, so sometimes they act a little weird towards us. On this day all was well, though one of my sisters asked me if I was worried about getting a brain tumor.

nice pics...my camera died half way through the party..I usually don't forget to charge it....we had a great time!..I love get togethers and always have fun...the little babies that were there were so darn cute...I had one little cutie in my hands and another kept giving me hugs..so sweet.

Funny, I was the only one who dressed up high heels and all and felt out of place at first...it was a beach club house house, and only his mom and I were dressed up...oh, well.
