Anastrozole...increase testosterone while lowering estrogen

Anastrozole has the ability to double a low testosterone male's bioavailable testosterone and increase his total testosterone by around two thirds. Anastrozole is used widely for just this purpose. One study looked at men over 60 years old and found an increase in testosterone of 62% and a decrease in estradiol, the "bad estrogen", of 24% for a net improvement in the testosterone-to-estradiol ratio of 115%. It took their total testosterone levels up from an average of 330 to 535 ng/dl.

Another study on infertile men with a T/E ratio less than 10 and total testosterone under 200 ng/dl found even more impressive results: total testosterone was increased by an average of 95%.

Anastazole actually works by binding to the aromatase enzyme that converts your testosterone into estrogen. Anastrozole effectively inhibits or blocks this conversion. One might expect estradiol to be affected more proportionately than testosterone, but in actuality it was testosterone that was affected more than estrogen in the above study.

Exemestane (Aromasin) is another great AI. Both are excellent when on cycle

Exemestane didn't help my gyno but anastrozole got rid if it permanently, thankfully. I had persistent gyno for years. Haven't had it since and that was a few years ago.

Anastrozole seems to be the go to AI for most guys for sore nipples unless it’s real bad then use letrozole.

EVERY OTHER DAY
If you use it too frequently or in too high a dose it eventually causes the joints to get too dry and ache.

I find most ppl take too much Arimidex. Some sides are more acne and even Ed.
Better to have slightly higher estrogen when using Cialis etc

Yeah. You definitely want estrogen in your body for many reasons. You don’t need a lot of anastrozole to do the trick.

I bought some anastrozole for my latest blast since I knew i was going to take a lot of test, but even dosing eod it just made me feel sick. Since I've never had a prb with gyno, I just decided to stop it until I felt it was really needed.

That’s why you get blood work done, to take the correct amount of an AI to keep estrogen in the proper range.

I agree anastrozole works better than exemestane. I don’t notice hairline changes from anything luckily.

I only use AI’s when my nipples get sore, but most people think it’s best to keep estrogen in the proper range for health reasons. For my body 1/2mg 3 days a week is the proper dose. Others here have a lot more experience with Adex/anastrozole so hopefully more people will chime in.
