BA water with a white sediment?

It would be made filtering bottled water through a .22 filter into a sanitized and sealed vile, with 0.9% Benzyl Alcolhol then added.

What would cause a white sediment to show up in the vile? Could it be minerals that passed through the filter? Do you know how that would happen?

Should it be discarded, or would it be ok to remove the clear water without the sediment and run it through another filter?

Always use distilled water. A simple filter can't filter out the soluble substances, especially ions.

Some bottled water says it's purified water. The methods they use varies from distillation, deionization or simple filtered, but they always add minerals in the final product to make it taste better.

Thanks for the info. Have you ever made bac water? How would you do it?

I haven't made bac water before specifically but I have made some other stuff that included BA.

From the hospira bottle it says it is 0.9%. Personally I would just get a big jug of distilled water from the store and use that, and just use the .22 micron filter to filter 100ml of DW and 0.9ml of BA into a sterile vial. The dead space in the filter should make it around 0.9% BA. If there's only a little bit of dead space I would use 99.5 ml distilled water.

edit: make sure not to use lose any of the BA in the filter
