Will this slin protocol work or is it cutting it close

3pm pwo 6iu's humalog with 60g waxy maize 70g whey

4:30pm 8oz chicken 50carbs from fruit

7:30pm 6iu's humalog with 60g waxy maize and 70g whey

9pm 8oz chicken 50carbs from fruit

11:30pm 70g whey, 50carbs from fruit, few tbsp olive oil then go to bed

My only concern is if I should have more food between 7:30pm-9pm before the 2nd slin shot?
 
It follows the recommended protocol. Are you using a glucometer? If so, what are your readings every 30 min post administration?
 
I would use it 4 hours before you train and after. I wouldnt use it that late in the day. I use it on my high carb days 3x a day. 6am, noon, 5pm.
On my medium carb days I use it post workout. Then on low carb days none.

Ive done slin once before and did the bsl thing every 30min but I gotta admit I havent done it this time. Ive just been following the general rule and going by feeling but I know its much better to take the bsl readings.

I was thinking about that but on my off days from work I wake up around 10am and train around 1pm so if I took a shot at 10am and ate then ate again at 11:30, then I may start feeling hypo in my workout. Well, i guess I could sip on some gatorade during training. I may do this method. Im just not sure yet. Slin makes me tired so id rather do it pwo.

The main problem im having is what to eat for the 3rd meal after the humalog shot. the rule is 10cabs per iu immediately aftewards. Then 5carbs per iu 1-1.5hrs later but the slin is still in your system for a good 2.5-3hrs after that so what are you supposed to have then? 2.5carbs per iu? Add fat back into the diet?

I recommend that you DON'T do slin pre workout. If you've never experienced going hypo while lifting, it's 10x worse than just going hypo under normal conditions. You feel dizzy as fuck, start seeing stars, chest tightens up, can't breathe and you might even throw up. You may even have to sit for awhile because it takes awhile for your body to re adjust and feel normal again even if you slam down glucose tabs. Even if you do sip on gatorade, you can still go hypo. I know because I've been there done that. If however, you are stubborn and insist on using slin pre workout, then start off at 2ius and slowly bump it up over time until you reach 5ius. Make sure you have glucose tabs on you while lifting as well. Even then I still wouldn't recommend it.

Thats what im wondering with log. I know it peaks right away and then has a 2nd peak 1-1.5hrs after the first peak, but what about after that? Its in you for 5hrs but im presuming its slowly leaving you by then. What would you suggest meal wise for the 3rd meal?
 
Dang Mr. Cyp, Do you work nights or something? You are taking some of your meds late in the day. I plan on being sleep well before 2330.

I just got my bottles of humalog and will try to do a similiar cycle with Gh. I just can't figure out if I should take my first gh/slin shot in the AM after waking up, or wait till around lunch time.

From what I read about humalog it starts acting within 10 minutes with the highest activity around 1.5 hours and clears the system within 3 or so hours.

For your 3rd meal, you should have a shake with simple carbs and minimal fat.
 
I'm a diabetic and am very experienced with humalog and I do 20
IU 1 hour before training. 1 hour before the workout, I drink a mix of 100g whey isolate and 50 grams dextrose. During workout, sip on a mix of 150g dextrose with 10g BCAA, 10g Creatine, 10Tablespoons LBA. Post workout its 100g whey isolate and carbs based on glucometer reading. Results have been fantastic. I don't recommend that cuz its fairly risky,but I'm comfortable with it so thats what I do. Again, I'm an insulin dependant diabetic and can guess my BGL within 7 points. I definately suggest starting very low IU if you insist on preworkout humalog inj.
 
I only take 6iu's 2x per day 3days per week. After the 6iu's for carbs I have 70g then 1.5hrs later I have about 50carbs, but how many should I have the next meal which is about 2.5-3hrs after meal#2. Im going for size but dont want it turn into excess fat since the slin is in my system.
 
imo and expirence waxy maize is a horrible idea after insulin! you will become hypo

Nice I kinda like this strategy. Keeping bf levels as low as you can, while naturally trying to keep insulin senstivity high as possible by cycling the slin along with your carbs.

The only thing I would do differently is only use it pwo, but I'm conservative in that manner.

ya waxy maize doesnt do a great deal for me i at 10ius morning and post workout need two powerades to keep me in check
