Hey fellas-

Im having a little trouble coming out of the hole on DL's midpoint and lockout arent a problem but getting there is the problem :rolleyes: . My routine is simple 5x5 for now im a tall gooney SOB at 6'5". Any pointers/suggestions would be appreciated.

For tall guys deadlifts are naturally going to be tough because you have a long way to get down to the bar. But I think that a solid leg drive can really help you to lock out and get more weight. Just keep on deadlifting and work real hard at it.

driving your heels through the floor...this was something a bro of mine told me that makes complete sense. i felt more powerful when i viewed it like this...good luck!

pulls on a platform ( feet are raised 3-4 inches off ground)

as for form, do u use a belt? a good one or cheap one? it could be a stability issue. use a good belt, expand ur belly like ur pretending to be prenent, deep breath, and flex abs out against belt. then bend over and begin pull. Could also be poor knarling or grip on the bar.
 
Flex- Havent payed much attention to drive heels, but i will next time.

big Byrd- NO belt whatsoever, completly raw with the exception of strap for the last set or two. I'll grab a belt, solid width and thick, sound ok?

definately use a belt! ive always used a belt whenever i press or do deads and i cant even begin to explain how good i feel with it! if you're going out and buying one, im sure big byrd52 or someone else would be able to give you tips on how to break it in...any new belt i have tried is pretty uncomfortable for the first while when initiialy breaking it in...
