chest pains after bench contest

I just finished my first bench contest and since i was training chest hard for about a month my right pec is getting some strange pains. It feels like its on the tendon right above my armpit where the chest muscle extends into the shoulder. I don't just get it from working chest, i got it today doing skull crushers (with good form, i had somebody watch me to see if that was the problem). I'm also getting a little knee pain with squats and it feels very concentrated when i do low leg press for the quads. I guess i'm just asking if what i should be doing to take care of these things. I stretch before after and during my workouts should i be doing more?
 
Save the stretching for after the workout. You should be doing some dynamic mobility work before training to get blood flowing and loosen things up. There are a couple of good dvd's out for that called "The Inside Out Warm-up" and "Magnificent Mobility". You can get both of them at www.elitefts.com.

As for the pain you are having. Go see a doc and get checked out. It sounds like you may have a strained pec. Take it easy on exercises that irritate it or find other exercises to use.

I have the same thing right side from chest into my back it feel like. When i lift my arm or eve sneeze it hurts. Its getting better but for a few days it was bad.

be very careful if you feel pain where the chest muscle tendon meets the humerous above the bicep...i ignored this pain and eventually ripped my tendon off the bone and had to have it re attached, tendons take minimum of 6-10 weeks to heal(just minor healing, i was in sling after surgery for 12weeks)...so my advice which i no sux but lay off that tendon for while...let it heal and slowly go back into workout and feel it out...sux but better than getting set back for life like i was...it is never 100percent after its re attached..they say you can get back to 85percent and that is only if you have the balls to test it out!ha which i do not wanna do....i was 180 working out with 315 on bench for easy 8rep strict sets and now i dont go over 260 at 195lbs...i dont go for power anymore because of it which is huge blow to male ego but i beat my body up when younger!!! best of luck hope it not a start to a tear but be careful!!!!
