sitting here watching the river crawl closer and closer. been raining for 5 days straight. lost everything 2 years ago in what they called a "100 year" flood. dont know if i could go thru this again. prior to my wife and i purchasing this home 3 years ago it had never gotten high enough to flood this house out. it has been up twice in the 2 past years, once whipping us out completely and 3 months after that missing us by a few feet. makes me believe our environment as a whole is changing from global warming, etc.

To true edge250. I live in Australia in what is supposed to be a tropical region. We are in the worst drought in recorded history here. This tropical paradise I live in will become another desert in the near future(20 yrs). All of the coastal cities are running out of water in the reseviors, water restrictions everywhere. So I believe as a world we are in deep shit!! It is the height of Cyclone season here and we have'nt had a tropical low yet! I grew up in the states and I remember snow at christmas every year. I was left slack jawwed at the site of New Yorkers running around in shorts and shit like it was summer! What's that. They call it "El Nino". BS I call it "BIG TROUBLE". I honestly thought that I would not see this kind of change in my lifetime, guess I was wrong. Time for some serious drugs. Help dull the reality check that's coming our way!!

i hear ya oldfella, i remember when i was a kid and all the big snow storms we would have. it hasnt snowed yet this year and it pretty much didnt snow last year. tell ya what though i would take your drought right now over what i am lookin at, lol

Here in South Australia we are having a 1000 year drought. Level 3 water restrictions. It hasnt rained more than a few drops for 2 years. I would kill for what you guys are getting. It is one extreme or the other isnt It? WTF is happening to the world? 44 deg. today here.

Hey edge250, How about we all pray for the opposite of what we are experiencing on opposite sides of the world and then when we've had enough we pray to put it back the other way!! Seriously though I hope you and your shit stays dry!! I lived in a place in the outback and one year we had the "One in 500 year rains". Cut the town off from the rest of the world and we thought we would all have to head for higher ground. Watching a creek turn into the rageing Colorado rapids was some scary shit indeed. Lots of people who mistakenly bought on the creek lost it all baby. You can not play with nature. It will come back and get you later. Stay safe edge and we're with ya bro!!

I hear ya! Lived in Karratha for bout three years and Pt. Hedland for bout the same. 44c is nothin my bro. We would have welcomed 44 but I lived in Adel. too and I remember some summers there where Hell was a cooler option. Lived in a Bluestone house and when that got hot it stayed that way. Good to see another aussie here. Anyone else from OZ? train hard, get big!!

well it has currently stopped raining and the temps are dropping..........expecting 2" of snow tomorrow....crazy. prolly 75 and sunny by the weekend

the weather can be so unpredictable in this day and age. global warming IMO.
