Do I need to worry?

Two days ago, I pinned my TRT dose and now I am have an area on my glute that is swollen and hurts pretty bad. I have never got swollen like this before and the area is pretty hard.

Could this be scar tissue that is bruised or should I worry?

I am cursious to know from you all, who all has had an infection from pinning and how did it start?

I would be pro active...........it could get bad...........cellulitis.

kinda had it happen but in a different spot i had went in too low on my arm and hit my tri and it swole for about a week id say u prolly went in a wrong area and irritated a muscle i say give it a week if it dont go down by then i would start to worry

I WOULD JUST START WITH DOSES OF ADVIL OR IBUPROFEN EVERY 4 HRS AND GIVE IT A FEW DAYS AND SEE IF IT STARTS TO SUBSIDE, IT SHOULD. IF NOT ANTIBIOTICS WOULD BE NEXT.

Bro, I would have to agree and tell you that being pro-active is my advice. If it get out of hand, many may say wait a few days and see what happens, well, in those fews days many things can go wrong. If you have insurance, then seeing your doctor is not even worth contemplating - go see him asap. Yes, it could be nothing and in a few days my subside, but why take the chance and you and only you know the severity of your what you are describing. Would you tell someone else to go to the doctor if they have what you are describing now?

x10, few days can mean the difference between needing a dr to lance and pack ur wound and just a course of antibiotics...those who say take advil and wait,they may be speaking from exp, and that may have worked for them as their body was able to beat the infection on their own...thats not the case all the time and can lead to SERIOUS issues...just man up and go to the dr earliest u can

Anti-biotics. Augmentin or Bactrim works well.

If the surface is still hot after two days I'd go see your doc ASAP! Cellulitis can progress surprisingly quick.

My doctor told me to sit in a hot bath for 20 minutes 3-6 times per day...I did it only once or twice per day but it seemed to help a lot, especially with the stiffness I had in my hip/leg.

I was told to put heat on the area also. Thanks guys.
